New York / January 15, 2026 – As mainstream art institutions withdraw support for DEI, compounded by social media platforms compromise on LGBTQI+ safety, shifting environments are causing volatile realities for queer artists and their art. Queer Art Hub, an art space for all types of queer art, is stepping in to build the world’s largest queer art community.
Today, the flagship project of social impact company Dear Queer Artist shares promising growth since launching its platform in 2025: hosting 700+ artists from 30+ countries on its platform and racking up 22,000+ website views as of January 2026.
The 2026 Call to Action: Partner and Protect
Queer Art Hub is moving beyond its Beta phase to seek funders, corporate sponsors, and/or cultural partners passionate about protecting queer art, to secure the future of this platform.
“We are at a critical tipping point. Queer Art Hub is building infrastructure that Big Tech and traditional institutions are not providing,” said Garry Ho, Founder of Queer Art Hub. “This isn’t just another platform; it’s a legacy project. We are calling for partners who refuse to let queer history be deleted.”
Queer artists are facing a double-sided crisis. In 2025, the art market saw a global decline in sales, with public and private funding for diversity-led projects drastically cut in response to changing sociopolitical sentiments. Furthermore, all major social platforms including Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, failed to provide LGBTQ+ safety last year, according to GLAAD’s 2025 Social Media Safety Index. Algorithms now frequently mislabel queer artwork as “explicit,” leading to shadowbanning, demonetization, and wrongful account removals.
Queer Art Hub is the solution, offering a searchable, permanent archive where being queer is celebrated, not censored. With top markets in the U.S., U.K, and Canada, over 50 art galleries, institutions and queer organizations have already contributed by sharing queer art-related events, shows, exhibitions and open calls last year, proving that the demand for queer art visibility remains strong.
LGBTQI+ Artists Invited To Claim Their Space
Whether your discipline is paint, photography, illustration, sculpture, film or multidisciplinary, artists can benefit from joining Queer Art Hub:
- Democratizing Pathways To Visibility: By building an Artist Profile, any queer artist can list their bios, portfolio of work, contact information and more. No matter discipline, geography or years of experience, Queer Art Hub provides another pathway for queer artists beyond traditional museums, galleries, and art fairs.
- Opportunities To Showcase Portfolios: Interested art collectors, gallerists, enthusiasts can view your work from anywhere in the world. Increase your profile amongst those who will be most interested in your art.
- Build and Contribute to a Global Queer Art Community: With Classifieds for Queer Art, explore, search, or post – artists, art galleries, institutions and queer organizations are invited to publish queer art show openings, events and exhibits.
New features (launched January 2026) have just been added to further build a queer art ecosystem for queer artists:
- Artists with a profile can now follow other queer artists and their profiles/activity
- Adding a Community Classifieds posting for your exhibition, event or call for collaboration will now also list on your profile, in a separate Posts tab
