New York / June 17, 2025 – Queer Art Hub, an art space for all types of queer art, has launched its platform during Pride Month this year. The platform is the first project of Dear Queer Artist, a social impact company focused on advancing LGBTQI+ artists, artwork and the community. In todayʼs shifting climate, queer safe spaces are needed more than ever.

Often times, queer artists lack opportunities in traditional art markets and the art world, where pathways to museums, galleries, art institutions and collectors are limited. In addition, they face algorithm challenges or shadowbans when promoting their work on Big Tech social media platforms solely because their content is queer.

Hence, Queer Art Hub is on a mission to build the world’s largest queer art community, complete with a searchable portfolio directory and community completely dedicated to LGBTQI+ artists and their art.

No matter discipline, geography or years of experience, Queer Art Hub’s goal is to ensure LGBTQI+ artists are seen, by developing a legacy platform that makes them more findable, and an archive for their work. It breaks down barriers so any LGBTQI+ artist has equal opportunity to have an official page dedicated to their craft, alongside other artists. Since piloting to users earlier this year, the platform has already attracted 400 artists hailing from 17 countries.

Now in its Beta Phase, Queer Art Hub invites the queer art community to:

  • Build an Artist Profile: Artists can list their bios, portfolio of work, original artwork for sale, contact information and more.
  • Showcase Your Portfolio: Interested art collectors, gallerists, enthusiasts can view your best work. Increase your profile amongst those who will be most interested in your artwork.
  • Classifieds for Queer Art: Explore, search, post – whether it’s to promote your queer art show opening, event, exhibit or more. Art gallery, organization or queer institution? Publish calls for queer art, open calls, exhibits and collaborations.

Exhibit With Pride at St Martins Lane London

As part of its mission to profile queer artists on its platform, Queer Art Hub has partnered with St Martins Lane London for a new show, Exhibit With Pride, during Pride Month. The exhibition spotlights UK-based queer textile artist Davey Powell and four of his pieces, from quilts to banners: Don’t Be Shy (2024), Hold On Tight (2024), Yeah (2025), and Try Your Luck (2025). Each work carries a rich narrative of joy, resilience, and self-expression, mirroring Powell’s lived experience as a queer artist from the Traveller community, raised among the color and chaos of a North East fairground.

A heartfelt and visually striking celebration of queer identity, the exhibit transforms the hotel’s lobby spaces into a vibrant gallery. Exhibit With Pride is part of a wider commitment by St Martins Lane London to celebrate and support LGBTQI+ communities – not just during Pride, but year-round. Visitors can explore Powell’s works in the hotel lobby or even purchase a piece to take home.
